Europapier was the only paper merchant represented at drupa 2008. An engagement that paid off with intensive customer contacts and new suppliers.

"All of our expectations were fulfilled, and in the case of some countries even exceeded," said Werner Hartmann, Member of the Board of Europapier, satisfied with the drupa 2008 trade fair. The decision to be Europe's only paper merchant in Düsseldorf from 29 May to 11 June paid off in every respect. Hartmann noted, "We were able to present ourselves to an international audience as a highly productive partner for Austria and Central Europe."

The print media business demonstrated at drupa 2008, the world's largest and most important trade fair for the print and media business with 1,971 exhibitors from 52 countries and 391,000 visitors, that it is indeed alive and well. "The atmosphere was very good," said Hartmann. "Our estimates of the markets and trends were absolutely right. The quality of the trade fair lies above all, though, in direct contact to customers."

Europapier was able to welcome between 100 and 130 visitors daily at its stand, which was continuously manned by up to 18 Europapier employees. "There was at least one representative from each of the countries where we operate. Our team was additionally complemented by employees from Marketing and the sales force," is how Mr Hartmann described the staff on site. To sum it up: "We managed to address our customers directly, demonstrate the benefits of co-operating with Europapier to our suppliers and acquire new suppliers, as well."

The paper merchant Europapier's attendance at drupa 2008, as Werner Hartmann takes stock with satisfaction, was "a good investment in every way".
